Joint holy communion service - 1st Sunday of the month 10:00 AM (sanctuary)

As an expression of our UNITY, all four language groups (Cambodian, English-Filipino, Spanish, and Tongan) join forces every first Sunday of the month to celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion. The full splendor of our multicultural and multigenerational faith community is on display during this joint worship time which is held in English interspersed with the various languages spoken at SAUMC.

English-tagalog service - 10:00 AM (sanctuary)

This is a 'blended worship' experience -- hymns, a choir, Children's Moment, sermon, etc. --seasoned with praise singing led by our Praise and Worship Team and prayers. But don't equate 'legacy' with 'formal' or a stiff upper lip! Come as you are! The fellowship is warm and welcoming. The worship experience is followed by Sunday School for all ages and then a 'Coffee Hour' in the Fellowship Hall that feels more like a luncheon buffet! Lead Pastor Adiel DePano is the primary pastoral leader of this worship service.

Tongan Service - 1:00 PM (Sanctuary)

The Tongan Fellowship worship service is a weekly time of celebration through music, liturgy, and fellowship.  Serving primarily first-generation Tongan immigrants, we seek to offer a sacred space for worship and fellowship, enabling members to affirm their personal discipleship through their participation in the communal act of gathering, hearing God’s word, and responding to God’s love.  The order of worship reaches back to include authentic liturgical practices from Tonga while reaching forward to include contemporary elements which are relevant to today’s cultural context and needs.  As such, much of the service is conducted in the Tongan language with consideration for all who are present. We gather as a family, including multi-generational members of our families, to sing, pray, listen to God’s Words, and to celebrate life.
